Philadelphia, PA… H. Chase Lenfest Philanthropy (HCL Philanthropy) today announced $635,500 in grants to 13 organizations serving Philadelphia's Hunting Park-East Tioga community through its inaugural grantmaking cycle. In partnership with North10 Philadelphia—an organization leveraging collective impact to improve life outcomes for North Philadelphia residents—HCL Philanthropy awarded $195,000 in General Operating support to six organizations and $440,500 in Project Accelerator grants to seven recipients. All grantees demonstrate deep commitment to the Hunting Park-East Tioga neighborhood, which spans from Sedgley Avenue to Hunting Park and from Broad to 9th Streets.

Addressing Community Needs Through Local Solutions

This inaugural cohort addresses the community's diverse needs through programs ranging from Black maternal health resources to career development, education initiatives, professional clothing assistance, financial literacy training, and youth development programs that support physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

"These aren't just grants—they're investments in ideas that have already shown promise and can create a foundational model for change across Philadelphia," said H. Chase Lenfest. "These organizations are the heartbeat of Hunting Park-East Tioga, knowing their community's needs better than anyone and building the future their neighborhood, and the entire city, deserves."
